Bearpit Garden Work Party

We’d love to see you if you’re around!! All are welcome although under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.

Castle Park Work Party

We are saddened to say the bed in Castle Park is looking a little sorry for itself and so on Tuesday we will be addressing that but removing lots of the older planting and popping in some new plants and sowing some seeds. This will be the beginning of the autumn and overwintering crops that we are going to plant this year, in order to try o keep the bed productive for as long as we can.

If you’d like to pop along and help out, we’ll be there from 11 to 1. Everyone is welcome with no skills needed, other than enthusiasm and a smile!!

The planting from the first session is bedding in well and we are going to be looking too at how people can move through the space and be in it as well as look at it. This session will see an entire field of strawberries planted, creating fresh fruit for all, as well as larger edible shrubs being used as hedging to create smaller spaces within the space.
