Severnside Railway Work Party

Why not join us for our first work party of the new year, which will see us on the Severn Beach Line removing old and tired plants from beds along the line and preparing those beds for the season ahead?

We are limited in numbers for our Severnside dates so if you’d like to be included please email our volunteer co-ordinator, Hannah at hannah@ediblebristol.org.uk and she will get back to you re times.

It’s always great fun jumping on and off the trains so do come along and join us!!

Severnside Community Rail Garden Day

On the first Friday of each month we take to the rails with Severnside Community Rail Partnership on the Severn Beach Line. On this session we will be visiting Laurence Hill and Montpelier, tidying up the containers on the station platforms and generally just having a good time on the line!

If you would like to win us for this session, please email hannah@ediblebristol.org.uk to book your place.

Severn Beach Work Party

Our work along the Severn Beach line continues to expand and today’s work party will see us begin work at Clifton Down Station. There are lots of beds at this station, all of which have become a little bit lost and so this session will see lots of clearance, some wild flower sowing and lots of opportunities to wave at trains.

If you would like to join us, please email hannah@ediblebristol.org.uk. Due to railway rules we do need to get you to sign up for these sessions.

Want to see what a Severn Beach Line work party is like? Here’s a great video made by our very own Hannah!

A Trip on the Severn Beach Line

Recently we have been doing some more work with the Severnside Community Rail Partnership and are looking at how we support edible planting for people and pollinators along the Severn Beach Line. We will be having a monthly work party along the line  and this is the first of those sessions.

As there are limited spaces for these work parties, we are going to ask that you email us to book your space on the party!! So drop a line to hannah@ediblebristol.org.uk and we will get back to you. Unfortunately children under the age of 16 cannot be taken on these journeys due to issues around safety.

This session will include visits to both Stapleton Road and Lawrence Hill stations and we will be departing on the 9.16 train from Temple Meads…..
