Bearpit Community Day

The Bearpit continues to need care and commitment and so on this day we’ll be working with Bearpit Bristol on a whole community day, where we’ll be working on the garden, the containers and carrying on making the space a place to be proud to be a part of.

Come and join us? There will be planting and painting, as well as mending the containers so we can utilise them better, so if you think you can lend a hand, we would love to see you.

Building Compost Bins From Pallets workshop!!

This year we will be running a series of workshops, courses and talks, mainly at Hartcliffe City Farm, for you to come along and learn from experts  about their specialisms. Some of these will be very practical and hands on and some will be more theoretical.

The first of these is on 4th February at Hartcliffe City Farm, where we will be running a very practical workshop teaching all aspects of compost bay building from pallets. We will cover clearing your site, which are the best pallets to use and which to steer clear of, as well as giving advise on composting and different ways to achieve the best compost for your garden.

There are limited spaces to allow for the best experience for all our attendees!!

If you’d like to book your ticket, just click on the link below!

Millennium Square Work Party

Why not come along and help us prepare the beds for the growing season ahead?

This year we will be working with the British Dal Festival to show how you can grow pulses in the UK to cook with, and this session will be the first that looks at peeping the beds ready for planting. We’ll be removing and potting up strawberries as well as giving at least one bed a good dig over ready for planting in March.

Everyone is welcome and no gardening experience is needed! Just turn up and any time during the work party and get involved!!
