Edible Park Work Party

Join us at our Edible Park for the 1st of our monthly work parties there.

Following discussions over the winter, we have decided to hold one big work party a month at The Quakers Burial Ground so that everyone who wants to can come along and join in with the work going on. This first date will look at clearing weeds, mulching with the compost we have made and generally tidying up the space ready for the season ahead.

Millennium Square Work Part with British Dal Festival!

At this work party we will be planting out and sowing the seeds of various pulses, including beans, lentils and peas, in our Millennium Square gardens as part of our contribution to the British Dal Festival. Our aim is to show how easy it is to grow these amazing crops in the UK and therefore to grow our own staples for the winter months.

We’ll be blogging all about the process thought the year and will be giving away seeds at the final British Dal Festival event at Paintworks on 25th March.

For more info take a look at the British Dal Festival website! There are some fabulous recipes there too.

Chatterton’s House Work Party

Come along and help us to continue the work on the garden outside Chatterton’s Cafe, opposite St Mary Redcliffe Church. We’ll be tidying up after winter, turning compost and generally getting the garden into a fit state for the year ahead.

We’ll also be looking at sowing plenty of seeds in the pollinator bed to replenish that so we can ensure we are feeding those bees and pollinators. so that in turn they pollinate our crops.

Pop along for 10 minutes or the whole work party, and let’s get this garden ready for growing….
