Join us for a morning of food growing at our learning site at Speedwell Allotments. This session will be composting focused, with compost turning, mulching and supporting soil health at the very top of the days agenda.

Our summer in the Bearpit continues with a work party that will focus on creating bee friendly spaces in the gardens and in the containers. Why not join us?
We will also be putting up bird boxes and of course doing our usual tidying and clearing etc!!
Remember you can join us for as long or as short a time as you can fit into your day.
This work party will concentrate on the beds around Temple Meads Station. we’ll be removing soil from the Wicking Bed outside the Engine Shed, moving it up to the 2 boxes outside the main station, and replanting those raised beds with some beautiful, colourful plants!

We’ll be on site between 10 and 2 but join us at any point in between those times as there is plenty to do.

We will be bringing the garden back from RHS Malvern and the majority of the plants will be landing in the Bearpit for planting into the Bearpit Garden. If you’d like to come along and help us get them planted and happy, please come along and lend a hand!!
Come along and help us as we continue work on the garden in The Bearpit!! In this session we’ll be adding lots of climbing plants to the walls, sowing meadows and adding height with arches and planting.
All welcome, but please do wear sturdy shoes!
We love our gardens on Stokes Croft and they have led to some extraordinary things!!
In this session we’ll weed and sow the central reservation in Stokes Croft as well as do some maintenance on our Marlborough Hill Street Garden!! Why not pop along and join in the fun?
