This work party will concentrate on the beds around Temple Meads Station. we’ll be removing soil from the Wicking Bed outside the Engine Shed, moving it up to the 2 boxes outside the main station, and replanting those raised beds with some beautiful, colourful plants!

We’ll be on site between 10 and 2 but join us at any point in between those times as there is plenty to do.
Join our facilitator, Luke, to learn how best to approach making raised beds using recycled pallets. We will cover everythign you need to know, from sourcing pallets locally, to safe and easy ways of taking them apart and building them back into a bed that is useful and practical for your growing needs, as well as attractive for your growing space.
All materials and tools will be provided aloing with tea and coffee. Please do bring your own packed lunch!

This great course will be a practical, hands on learning experience, making raised beds in The Secret Garden at Avonmouth Station.
The workshop will include how to choose the perfect pallet, how to ensure your beds are safe and sturdy, where to source your pallets from as well as some practical work around the best uses of raised beds in gardens, allotments and in the public realm. At the same time the group will make a large raised bed that will be left on site for the Avonmouth community to use.
Because we want you to get the best experience possible, this workshop has limited numbers so do get your tickets before they are all gone!!
