Compost Day in The Bearpit

The compost area in the Bearpit Garden needs some attention so why not come along and learn lots about composting whilst giving us a hand to sort it out?

We’ll be turning, chopping and generally sorting as well as hopefully using some of the good compost for some mulching of the garden.

Everyone is welcome-no need to register-and come for as long or as short a time as you might be able to manage…

Millennium Square Work Party

Come along and help us to plant out some winter crops as well as net them so the pigeons and seagulls don’t get them before they are ready!!

We would love to see you, gardener or not, and tell you more about the successes this year and our plans for next year as they come along!!

Everyone is very welcome and no gardening skills are required.

Bearpit Seating Session

The Bearpit garden is ready to have it’s seating trios installed. We have had these made and planted up by River of Flowers and are looking forward to working with them during the installation.

If you would like to come along and lend a hand with the installation we would love to see you. The trios are quite large and the more the merrier in terms of moving them and getting them in place!!

St George Community Garden Work Party

Come along to the lovely garden in the old bandstand and help with sowing, maintaining and harvesting the wonderful crops!!

Incredible Edible Bristol are working with St George Community Garden to support them though a transitionary stage. They are looking for new and engaged volunteers and people who might like to take on some of the responsibility of running the garden. If you think that might be you, please email sara@ediblebristolorguk.wpcomstaging.com and we can look at how that might work!!

St George’s Park Work Party

We are very excited to be supporting the St George’s Park Community Food Garden through a transitionary phase this year, and this will include helping to recruit more volunteers for the garden.

The garden is about to have a considerable amount of work done, with the beds being made higher and more accessible to all, and lots of planting and growing about to begin for the year ahead. The sessions are all from 10-12 and everyone, of any age is more than welcome, whatever their gardening knowledge. So please do come along and join us!!
